Our Philosophy
At Prairie Peak Kennels we provide a complete package of services to grow and peak the relationship between dog and owner by providing dogs with great obedience which results in more freedom on and off leash while educating owners on how to build trust in this freedom to benefit the owner and dogs quality of life. We have been training dogs since 2010 and love to hear from our dog owners the differences they see in their dogs behavior after a training session or stay. Testimonials are at the bottom of this page! Our Prairie Peak family tag teams the training efforts to maximize the amount of sessions per day and to offer both a male and female perspective. At Prairie Peak, we train young and old dogs alike on general obedience, aggression, anxiety, jumping up, running off, potty training problems, hunting skills, and more! We use a balanced approach of both positive and negative reinforcement with repetition and well placed patience to achieve this patterned successful behavior. Hello, I'm Lily!
and I'm the Professional Dog Trainer here at Prairie Peak. I grew up and currently live in Henning. Outside of work my favorite activities include hiking, traveling, and all things dog related! I have 4 dogs. Happy is a 3 year old Corgi, Chloe is an 8 year old Goldendoodle, Ollie is a 6 year old Goldendoodle, and Bailey is a 4 year old Golden retriever. We enjoy lots of off leash hikes and lots of fetch.
I started my career here at Prairie Peak in 2019, I have experience with many breeds from yorkies and terriers to Great Danes and Mastiffs. My Favorite part of Dog training is giving owners the tools and knowledge to create the best life for them and their dog. My goal at Prairie Peak is to help as many dogs as possible and show the potential any dog can have when they are fully trained. I am excited to meet you and your dog and help you as a team reach your goals!
Sally & Steve 10 month old Golden Retriever, Charlie“Our 10 month Golden Retriever, “Naughty Charlie” spent two weeks with Prairie Peak Kennels and came back not-so-naughty! Jack taught him how to quit jumping on people…and to stop biting their arms and clothes with excitement when he saw them! Also, we are thrilled that he actually COMES now when he’s called, which he never did before! Our favorite command though is “Back” which brings Charlie right back when he is wondering off and about to get into trouble…works like a charm! Jack also listened well to our challenges and has been excellent with follow-up since we brought Charlie back home. Would even think about I highly recommend them to anybody looking for any type of training. My dog had a hard time listening and overall no obedience whatsoever.
